The inadequate hydrophobicity and the degradation in usage seriously hampered applications of existing antipollution flashover coatings. In this paper, a superhydrophobic polyurea coating with ability was fabricated through chemically grafting silica onto chains by utilizing silane coupling agent hydrophobic modification. It is demonstrated that exhibits outstanding performances. Noteworthy, surface pollution voltage has been increased 33.8% compared room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber (RTV rubber). addition, volume resistivity above 1.0 × 1012 Ω·m, dielectric strength achieves to 28.85 kV/mm, which represents excellent insulating property. Furthermore, abrasion resistance, adhesion, acid–base durability. As result, it holds great promise for use preventing electrical insulators.

Composite coatings of silicon dioxide nanoparticles polyethylcyanoacrylate and heptadecafluorotetra hydrodecyltriethoxysilane oligomers obtained on steel substrates by spin coating method. The highest values the water contact angle are 150° 151° with a wetting hysteresis less than 2.0° hexadecane 125.6° ± 1.5° и 126.0° for surfaces, respectively, from suspension containing 6.6 mass.% SiO 2 in ethylcyanoacrylate.
