For
a
long
time,
the
small
group
of
cationic
ligands
stood
out
as
obscure
systems
within
general
landscape
coordinative
chemistry.
However,
this
situation
has
started
to
change
rapidly
during
last
decade,

more

metal-coordinated
species
being
reported.
The
growing
interest
in
these
is
not
only
purely
academic
nature,
but
also
driven
by
accumulating
evidence
their
high
catalytic
utility.
Overcoming
inherently
poor
coordinating
ability
often

additional
structural
stabilization.

cases

realized
functionalizing
them
pair
chelating
side-arms,
effectively
constructing
pincer-type
scaffold.

aims
encompass
