Increasing the flame retardancy of lignocellulosic materials such as Miscanthus × giganteus can effectively enable their wide use. This study examines fireproofing process particles using an eco-friendly by grafting phytic acid and urea in aqueous solution. underwent a steam explosion step before being grafted. Fireproof binderless particle panels were manufactured from miscanthus with or without adding olive pomace hot-pressing. The effect and/or flame-retardant treatment on morphology, chemical composition thermal stability particles, well panels, was investigated. results showed that water impregnation followed at 210 °C for 8 min resulted rich lignin more homogeneous size (length width). produced relatively low P N contents. significantly improved when treated urea, shown reduced heat release (HRR) increased time-to-ignition. However, presence decreased panels. Binderless prepared grafted best fire properties are considered fireproof.
