The food industry can significantly benefit from blockchain technology by increasing transparency and visibility throughout the supply chain because it enables end-to-end data traceability in retail network. A does not require a central authority to control all data, reducing organizations’ need disclose their proprietary information. All participants share only essential for specific record or transaction. In this study, peer-reviewed journal articles were used as secondary sources collection regarding usage sector. After analyzing collected key findings organized into relevant themes address study’s objectives using content analysis. Organizations adopt cost-benefit analysis when is combined with blockchain. Transparency increases revenue profitability, especially segments where consumers are willing pay. However, several risks challenges must be addressed, including vulnerabilities, piracy, contractual disputes, hacking. Using smart contracts, automates production processes facilitates real-time order settlement. Even most secure cryptocurrencies on traced varying degrees, emphasizing importance of transaction reliability.
