Although various structural modifications of the impeller and volute are employed to suppress flow-induced noise, few such focus on relationship between generation variation flow noise. Herein, spatiotemporal evolution vortex structure noise source in is investigated by sound theory spectral proper orthogonal decomposition (sPOD). The results show that tip leakage (TLV) formed near blade leading edge a significant source. As TLV develops into passage vortex, strength gradually decreases. Within passage, at 90% span attenuates because interaction shed vortices, whereas 50% due spatial Furthermore, entropy production correlates with In near-tongue region, dominant rotation frequency second passing (2BPF) obtained sPOD, which reveals jet wake extracted 2BPF patterns featuring strip-like structures appear. However, characteristics tongue remain unchanged. These findings provide meaningful insights reduction centrifugal pump.

This study focuses on the development of a machine learning (ML) model to elaborate predictions structural damage in submerged structures due ocean states and subsequently compares it real-life case 6-month experiment with benthic lander bearing multitude sensors. The ML uses wave parameters such as height, period direction input layers, which describe conditions, strains selected points structure output layers. To streamline dataset generation, simplified approach was adopted, integrating analytical formulations based Morison equations numerical simulations through Finite Element Method (FEM) designed lander. Subsequent validation involved Fluid–Structure Interaction (FSI) simulations, using 2D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)-based tank entire depth access velocity profiles, restricted 3D CFD incorporating structure. A conducted empirically validate simulated model, design deployment at 30 m depth. monitored electrical optical strain gauges. measured during testing will provide empirical may be used for extensive training more reliable model.
