Groundwater resources that are increasingly being cherished for most socioeconomic development exposed to varied pollutant sources. Studies have shown they vulnerable various impacts such as climatic change, human and also pollution from seawater intrusion in coastal areas. The susceptibility of a groundwater body indicates extent which its quality is at risk compromised by contaminants. Assessments this vulnerability classified based on scale (site, local, regional) or objective (such management protection zoning) distinguish between source resource maps, well specific intrinsic maps. assessment methods differ several factors, including the availability spatial distribution quantitative qualitative data, objectives mapping, costs model development, particular hydrogeological characteristics aquifer under investigation. National Research Council has these into three primary categories: process-based methods, statistical overlay/index methods. Among these, method widely employed conducting large-scale assessments sensitivity vulnerability. It especially advantageous developing countries due easily accessible data required implementation.

Groundwater is becoming increasingly important as surface water decreasing and more polluted. In particular, rural areas in the arid region of Central Asia face problems with both quantity quality. view this, we investigated drinking quality Maysky district Pavlodar region, Kazakhstan. The organoleptic properties, together microbiological indicators, well organic inorganic substances before after treatment, tap were studied compared to recommended levels. bacteriological indicators water, especially, showed that represents health risks since presence bacteria genus Pseudomonas aeruginosa was confirmed. Water treatment reduced total microbial count (TMC) indicator by 3.6 times. However, TMC still exceeded permissible levels indicating sanitary epidemiologically not acceptable. Pathogenic contamination can severely affect weaker individuals children. It has been estimated infant mortality rate Kazakhstan six times higher EU less than 30% Kazakhstan’s population have access safe water. Also, 50% drink does comply international standards, e.g., Thus, it continuously monitor groundwater minimize work towards line UN SDGs.
