The use of hydrogen-blended natural gas presents an efficacious pathway toward the rapid, large-scale implementation hydrogen energy, with pipeline transportation being principal method conveyance. However, materials are susceptible to embrittlement in high-pressure environments. Natural contains various impurity gases that can either exacerbate or mitigate sensitivity embrittlement. In this study, we analyzed mechanisms through which multiple could affect behavior steel. We examined effects O2 and CO2 on L360 steel a series fatigue crack growth tests conducted fracture surfaces assessed involved. discovered promoted material, whereas inhibited it. mitigated enhancing effect when both were mixed hydrogen. As rate increased, influence material diminished.

Abstract Hydrogen energy is critical to the achievement of a "dual carbon" approach and has key role play in future development new industries. Adding hydrogen natural gas pipeline can achieve large-scale, low-cost, long-distance transport. The objective study investigate effect varying doping ratios (HDRs) on thermophysical parameters such as compression factor based Lee-Kesler-Plocker (LKP) equation state. developed procedure allows calculation under different HDRs. investigation considers effects temperature, pressure, HDR. results show that pressure fluctuations significantly influence factor, followed by HDR and, lesser extent, temperature. order sensitivity for each parameter follows: Joule-Thomson coefficient (JT)> molar heat capacity at constant (Cp) > volume (Cv) (Z). These provide theoretical basis understanding transport HDNG.

With the breakthrough in mixing hydrogen into natural gas pipelines for urban use, widespread application of hydrogen-blended (HBNG) energy delivery is imminent. However, this development also introduces significant safety concerns due to notable disparities physical and chemical properties between methane hydrogen, heightening risks associated with leaks. Current models that simulate diffusion leaked HBNG from buried atmosphere often employ fixed average leakage rates, which do not accurately represent dynamic nature diffusion. This study uses computational fluid dynamics (CFD) 2024R1 software build a three-dimensional simulation model under soil–atmosphere coupling The findings reveal that, model, range rate smaller than rate. Under same influencing factors calm wind conditions, primarily diffuses vertical direction, whereas windy mainly horizontal direction.
