Taking the Guojiawan coal mine in Shenfu Mining Area as a case study, five evaluation factors (aquifer thickness, brittle–plastic rock thickness ratio, core recovery rate, number of sandstone–mudstone interbeds, and fractal dimension faults) were selected indicators to evaluate water richness sandstone aquifer roof strata main seam. Accordingly, weights indicators, derived using criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC) method, integrated with computational procedures technique for order preference by similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS) method. The indicator approaches combined different fusion strategies. Finally, based on zoning results study area, advantages disadvantages two approaches, C-TOPSIS-a C-TOPSIS-b, compared. Comprehensive analysis was conducted rationality zoning. C-TOPSIS-b method achieved optimal outcome. classified into grades: weak, relatively moderate, strong, strong. Among these, regions weak strong are primarily northern, central, southern, southwestern parts, respectively.
