The present research proposes the implementation of an architecture for industrial process monitoring and control a manufacturing execution system (MES) using immersive digital twin (DT). For design proposal, cyber–physical systems (CPS), MES, robotics, Internet Things, augmented reality, virtual open platform communication-unified (OPC UA) communication protocols were used to integrate these technologies enhance functionalities DT by providing greater performance. proposed work is implemented in Industry 4.0 laboratory that composed Festo Cyber–Physical Factory CP-Lab stations. based on ISO 23247, where following requirements considered DTs: (1) observable attributes 3D visualization all physical production lines their stages, (2) entity through OPC UA protocol collection state changes elements, (3) models are modeled updated collected data, (4) user entities use AR VR make more efficient. experimental results showed enables interoperability between different platforms subsystems.
