Datasets
are
key
to
developing
new
machine
learning-based
applications
but
very
costly
prepare,
which
hinders
research
and
development
in
the
field.
We
propose
an
edge-to-cloud
end-to-end
system
architecture
optimized
for
sport
activity
recognition
dataset
collection
application
deployment.
Tests
authentic
contexts
of
use
four
different
sports
have
revealed
system’s
ability
effectively
collect
learning-usable
data,
with
energy
consumption
compatible
timeframe
most
types.
The
proposed
relies
on
a
feature
Measurify
internet
things
framework
management
measurement
data
(i.e.,
.csv
management)
supports
workflow
designed
efficient
labeling
signal
timeseries.
is
independent
any
specific
sport,
generation
can
be
set
up
few
days,
even
by
novice
developers.
With
view
concretely
supporting
R&D
community,
our
work
released
open-source.

Assessment of crutch-assisted walking with sensorized crutches in a 6-Minute Walk Test

This
paper
presents
a
possible
application
of
mCrutch,
mobile
health
system
consisting
pair
sensorized
crutches
and
Android
application,
with
the
purpose
recording
applied
force
crutch
orientation
during
6-minute
walking
test
single
crutch.
We
developed
MATLAB-based
threshold
algorithm
for
segmentation
stance
events
in
analogy
gait
analysis.
A
morphological
analysis
was
performed
to
quantitatively
visually
depict
various
features.
The
achieved
accuracy
94%.
whole
helps
gaining
comprehensive
quantification
stance-related
features
across
phases
test.Clinical
Relevance:
approach
facilitates
design
development
additional
algorithms
aimed
at
gathering
clinically
relevant
parameters
pertaining
movement
within
context
human-crutch
system.
