This paper presents a possible application of mCrutch, mobile health system consisting pair sensorized crutches and Android application, with the purpose recording applied force crutch orientation during 6-minute walking test single crutch. We developed MATLAB-based threshold algorithm for segmentation stance events in analogy gait analysis. A morphological analysis was performed to quantitatively visually depict various features. The achieved accuracy 94%. whole helps gaining comprehensive quantification stance-related features across phases test.Clinical Relevance: approach facilitates design development additional algorithms aimed at gathering clinically relevant parameters pertaining movement within context human-crutch system.

Datasets are key to developing new machine learning-based applications but very costly prepare, which hinders research and development in the field. We propose an edge-to-cloud end-to-end system architecture optimized for sport activity recognition dataset collection application deployment. Tests authentic contexts of use four different sports have revealed system’s ability effectively collect learning-usable data, with energy consumption compatible timeframe most types.
