Abstract Sentinel‑2 satellite provides freely accessible multispectral images used in various remote sensing (RS) applications, where spatial resolution is crucial. The Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) for Sentinel’s visible and near-infrared (VNIR) bands specified at 10 meters, but it may not accurately reflect ground due to environmental effects. As a result, Resolved (GRD) serves as an alternative measure actual resolution, information about Sentinel GRD lacking, calibration targets are always available, vary across different tiles. This paper estimates using scene-driven approach that analyzes the edges of natural targets, reducing challenges associated with artificial targets. method involves selecting suitable based on their geometric spectral characteristics, sub-pixel edge extraction, estimating Edge Spread Function (ESF), generating Line (LSF), calculating Full-width Half Maximum (FWHM). Two tiles imagery from Shadnagar Calibration Facility, India, Baotou, China, were analyzed. analysis 40 revealed average values 12.65 m, 12.40 12.49 12.58 m red, green, blue, NIR bands, respectively, aligning closely results demonstrated high accuracy precision total RMSE approximately 0.77 standard deviation 0.19 respectively.
