This study investigated the phytochemical composition and toxicity profile of Persea americana seed oil (PASO) in albino Wistar rats. Chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used to analyse chemical constituents PASO. For acute test, PASO administered orally a single dose up 3000 mg/kg body weight (bw). subacute rats were divided into four (4) groups. Group I (normal control), while groups II, III IV received 200, 300 400 daily, respectively, for 14 days. In lethal (LD50) estimated be 1477.83 mg/kg. significantly increased (p < 0.05) aspartate aminotransferase, creatine phosphokinase, alanine creatinine, alkaline phosphatase, urea, malondialdehyde, high density lipoprotein, interleukin 1-beta (IL-1β), tumour necrosis factor (TNF-α) cardiac troponin decreased glutathione, red blood cells (RBC), packed cell volume (PCV), superoxide dismutase catalase compared control group. Our showed that LD50 is weight, which classifies it as moderately toxic substance. toxicity, our results revealed treatment with resulted an increase liver enzymes, urea inflammatory markers, decrease antioxidant suggesting impairs kidney functions may cause or muscle damage

Protein glycation, or simply is the process by which sugar binds to amino acids, producing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals. These chemicals generated glycation play a role in oxidative stress formation of Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs), further leading disorders such as diabetes cardiovascular disease. Synthetic substances have been studied for their ability reverse glycation. However, adverse effects they cause lead search natural inhibitors. Medicinal plants compounds derived from them, including polyphenols, polysaccharides, terpenoids, vitamins, alkaloids, peptides, demonstrated encouraging potential reducing glycation-induced damage through early-stage inhibitory effects, chelating metal ions, carbonyl (RCS), blocking other important pathway sites. Nevertheless, more study an integrated approach are recommended fully comprehend molecular mechanism processes behind this.

Autophagy, an intrinsic catabolic mechanism that eliminates misfolded proteins, dysfunctional organelles, and lipid droplets, plays a vital function in energy balance cytoplasmic quality control, addition to maintaining cellular homeostasis. Liver cancer such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common causes deaths globally shows resistance several anticancer drugs. Despite rising incidence poor prognosis malignant HCC, underlying molecular mechanisms driving this aggressive remain unclear. Several natural compounds, phytochemicals dietary non-dietary origin, affect hepatocarcinogenesis signaling pathways vitro vivo, which may help prevent treat HCC cells. Current cells treatments include chemotherapy, radiation, surgery. However, these standard therapies have substantial side effects, combination therapy enhances effects for acceptable therapeutic benefit. Therefore, there need develop treatment strategies are more efficacious fewer adverse effects. Multiple genetic epigenetic factors responsible become resistant treatment. Autophagy contributes maintain homeostasis, activates autophagy biosynthesis mitochondrial regulation recycling. modifying autophagic would present promising opportunity identify novel current treatments. This comprehensive review illustrates how compounds demonstrate their anti-hepatocellular through autophagy.
