A pilot-scale investigation of ozonation combined with electrolysis (E-O3) was performed to treat concentrated wastewater from a reverse osmosis system the printing and dyeing industry. It found that E-O3 only exhibits an efficiency advantage after removal carbonate ions. The synergy ozone lies not in generation hydroxyl radicals, but also degradation organic compounds. Moreover, combination has inhibitory effect on decrease pH, which plays important role synergistic radicals. This study holds reference significance for engineering applications technology.
