The need for urban societies to move continues grow with the intensity of their various activities. One challenges in micromobility cities based on bike, scooter, or public scooter systems is determining potential yet realistic demand such services. This article aims present level eco-friendly non-motorized transport and identify motivations driving users choose these Personal Mobility Devices (PMD). authors propose a methodology integration four components: case study, an analysis participatory budget projects, metadata bikesharing (BSS) Szczecin, meta plan. They utilized study method conducted survey custom questionnaire. An projects data from operation Szczecin was performed using statistical methods. Applying heuristic tool plan, they outlined directions development support as example Szczecin. research identified connections between socio-demographic structure respondents attributes bike communication. highlighted periods intensive system use locations highest exploitation. It showed that BSS depends weather conditions, traveler convenience, density coherence infrastructure important residents, transfer connections, safety. presented results can assist planners authorities other expanding bikesharing.

In recent years, several emerging transport modes have appeared in cities all over the world and been widely adopted by commuters travelers. This leads to strong growth popularity of multi-modal Mobility as a Service (MaaS) cities. These not only received much attention from service providers practitioners but also attracted researchers related communities. are reflected growing number published papers research issues mobility The factors that driving deficiencies effective solution methods accommodate needs users with modes. Although existing literature is still deficient offering seamless end-to-end services, it provides valuable sources clues for finding potential future subjects/issues/directions. this study, we attempt identify directions based on review transport. By searching WOS database, analyze profile trends mobility. results study pave way assessment subjects/issues/directions under umbrella term paper significantly reduces time required readers prospective subjects, issues, or without delving into literature.

Introduction The link between lifestyles and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions has prioritized climate mitigation strategies of cities worldwide. As have increasingly generated GHG by their industrial transportation activities, role in gained prominence. Cities' policies to reduce the intensity residents' daily lives are one significant efforts tackle change. Lighthouse Cities (LCs), particular, emerged as remarkable actors promoting lifestyle changes for residents. Methods This study examines LCs Climate CAMPAIGNers project, including Baku, Vilnius, Lahti, Izmir, Trujillo, Athens, Linz, Milan, Cape Town, Dublin, Skopelos, addressing conducting an expert survey 11 involving 89 respondents. findings comparatively analyzed across LCs. Results results show that experts form identify increasing awareness information provision a component policies. Concerning changes, toward energy efficiency sustainable mobility highlighted primary areas be prioritized. Discussion enhances understanding cities' capacity emissions. can utilized tailor supporting change provide pointers selecting promoted Cities.

This article investigates if the impact of weather conditions on mode choice (walking, riding a bike, driving car, and using public transport) differs across spatial areas. For this purpose, survey-based data set with more than 500,000 trips in Germany was enriched prevailing at closest station to point departure moment start trip. In addition, points each trip were classified into seven different The analysis relied separate multinomial logit models carried out for area as dependent variable. independent variables consisted non-weather-related factors such sex, age, car availability, level education, etc., various weather-related air temperature, amount precipitation, wind speed. results show that have rather marginal choice, exception which constitutes transport is most affected by all However, impacts tend be smaller densely populated urban metropolises peripheral, rural particular, precipitation speed do not appear affect cyclists metropolitan areas much regions.

Transportation networks within a region are vital. They link individuals from their starting points to destinations. Nonetheless, even highly effective transportation systems may not ensure optimal performance, service quality, or fairness for users unless they extensively interconnected and accessible as many people possible. In this context, we present planning framework complementing public transit (PT) with other cost-effective mobility systems, such car-sharing (CS) improve performance in terms of connectivity accessibility. These metrics evaluated by using the suitably introduced Connectivity Accessibility Index (CAI). Specifically, research, first introduce novel methodology assessing accessibility values existing PT systems. Then, proposed approach provides an optimization-based design model hybrid CS system comprising both one-way (OW) two-way (TW) models. To evaluate capabilities approach, real-world case study city Trento (Italy) is evaluated.
