While urban greening is an effective adaptation strategy for building resilient cities, socioeconomic factors and individual perceptions of parks play a significant role in enhancing their safety inclusiveness. Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) widely recognized approach public spaces. However, existing research has largely overlooked the impact interpersonal needs on shaping safety. Baitashan Park Located Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, China. It iconic park with cultural recreational value. Despite park’s popularity, it faces challenges such as uneven accessibility, maintenance discrepancies, perceived concerns, especially among users from lower status (SES) group. This study examines how SES affect relationship between CPTED principles Our findings reveal that significantly mediate safety, playing moderating both direct indirect effects. Specifically, influence more pronounced individuals higher SES, while effect also stronger SES. These results suggest effectiveness can be enhanced by considering interplay dynamics. underscores importance adopting holistic to design, integrating environmental, social, economic promote inclusivity, well-being all users.
