Most scholars conceptualize calling as multidimensional, yet most studies operationalize the variable using unidimensional scales or total scores from multidimensional scales. Consequently, research has established calling's overall relationships with career development variables without clarifying dimensions' roles in accounting for these associations. We sought to address this concern multiple linear regression models examining how dimensions (transcendent summons, purposeful work, and prosocial orientation) uniquely relate among undergraduate students. Occupational self-efficacy, vocational identity, engagement were used criterion variables. Each dimension accounted unique variance variables, suggesting that incorporating all is important. self-efficacy related work orientation. Vocational identity was significantly associated transcendent summons. Career dimensions. Our findings support operationalizations. Implications counseling professionals are explored suggestions each practice.

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has not only caused widespread economic recession but also had a serious negative impact on the employment of college students. However, little is known about relationship and mechanisms between risk perception COVID-19 career adaptability. This study aimed to examine whether associated with adaptability directly indirectly through hope sense mastery in A questionnaire survey was conducted among 594 Chinese students aged 16 25, who completed assessments COVID-19, adaptability, hope, mastery. results showed that susceptibility negatively confidence, control, curiosity; moreover, affected (including concern, curiosity) mastery; uncontrollable concern hope; findings emphasize role reveal necessity improving promote students' development.
