Important gender differences, relating to trauma history, offending and mental health needs are not sufficiently considered in most (risk) assessment treatment procedures forensic practice. We developed guidelines for gender-responsive work Dutch care. The experiences of practitioners psychiatric patients were collected analyzed by means an online survey ( n = 295), interviews with professionals 22), female 8) male 3) patients. Guidelines regarding gender-sensitive trauma-informed care rated as relevant the survey. In we focused on wishes gender-mixed treatment. Practical written based results survey, literature, presented expert meetings practitioners, further refined their comments. Applying these may contribute improved thereby preventing relapse.
