Honey bee colonies are affected by many threats, and the Varroa mite represents one of most important causes honey disease. The control population is managed different methods, in recent years, biotechnical practices considered preferable to chemical approaches order safeguard health avoid residues products as well appearance acaricide resistance. Abstract The objective of this work is to find the most prevalent elements that have positive effects on pollinator density and diversity in crop fields, as reported literature, through a systematic review. search equations yielded 659 papers, from which 138 were filtered finally 55 selected by publication date, journal, Scimago Journal Rank, Quartiles, subject area, keywords, relevance. These papers subjected an in-depth qualitative analysis tabulated using VantagePoint 10.0, finding 30 terms considered relevant due their recurrence all papers. From these terms, 10 mentioned practices extracted grouped into four broad categories: proximity natural habitats (98), grassland management (82), floral resources (80) organic farming (65). All above agricultural found potential increase numbers different contexts. results, further research recommended try attract attention specific groups pollinators, it was also identified each species has very requirements, configuration intended just for one could cause other leave area.

Urban and peri-urban agricultural (UPA) production systems in West African countries do not only mitigate food financial insecurity, they may also foster biodiversity of arthropods partly compensate for structural losses natural environments. However, management practices UPA like irrigation contribute to disturbances arthropod ecology. To fill knowledge gaps the relationships between populations, we compared species across different sources Tamale. During a 72-h sampling period, 14,226 were caught with pitfall traps pan from 36 fields. These specimens comprised 13 orders, 103 families, 264 genera, 329 taxa (243 identified species, 86 unidentified species) categorized into five feeding guilds (carnivores, decomposers, herbivores, omnivores, pollinators). Species richness, accumulation curves, diversity functions (richness, evenness, dispersion) calculated characterize community. Non-metric multidimensional scaling was applied examine similarity communities among sites. account effects soil-related data, furthermore redundancy analysis. Arthropods grouped according water source, whereby dipterans most dominant under wastewater conditions. Here, particularly eye gnat, Hippelates pusio, disease-causing vector humans, accounted dipterans. The occurrence three alien ant suggested community shifts through invasive while seven (at least one occurred each source) that form mutualistic aphids highlighted future risks aphid pest outbreak. Future studies on these should specifically target their ecological economic potential countermeasures.

Recent literature highlights the potential of animal pollinator-dependent (PD) crops in enhancing food and nutrition security, although there is a lack detailed household-level estimates. In this study, we investigate nutrient composition, productivity, contribution PD pollinator-independent (PI) to household four sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries. We also evaluate impact reallocating resources from PI on deficiencies, utilizing nationally representative panel data three waves over 30,000 household-year observations. Our findings reveal that exhibit higher micronutrient content per unit, albeit with lower macronutrient compared crops. have yield calories hectare while vitamin A hectare.
