Ecotourism, which promotes environmental conservation and brings social economic benefits through conscious harmonious interactions between humans nature, has become a principal tool for achieving these objectives. Sustainable tourism can only be supported with tourists realizing the elements of attraction toward ecotourism. This study analyzes roots ecotourism behavior using Theory Planned Behavior (TPB), specifically determining roles tendency, attitude, human–land coordination stress, sense self-control in influencing tourists’ intention used cross-sectional design, requiring 847 participants to complete standardized questionnaire assessing their ecotourism, attitudes, perceptions. Reliability testing, descriptive statistics, regression analysis, factor analysis were analyze datasets discover major factors relating behavior. A consequent outcome is that attitude self-determination are significant drivers desire, while behavioral norms impact selflessness. The concluded subjective perception control ability ones affect more than other factors. findings suggest enhancing self-control, awareness human–place significantly promote behaviors. These results highlight importance comprehensive regional robust education, promoting normative behaviors foster sustainable practices. Enshi Autonomous Prefecture (EAP) China selected as case through which to explore mountain and its industry. This study develops EAP's model focusing on three criteria: core tourism, economic environment's competitiveness, infrastructure competitiveness. Context-specific customized index has been applied data collected from EAP Statistical Yearbook 2005-2014. reveals that value environmental are 84.292, 13.4, 2.308%, respectively. When increased by one unit, will increase 0.84292 units. Similarly, when environment 0.134 increases 0.02308 units unit. major reasons low levels were lack awareness county authority, level cooperation, weak infrastructure. recommendations study's findings follows. Firstly, authority should appropriately improve relationship between competition maintaining cooperation competition, cooperation. Secondly, strengthen communication establishing effective coordinated mechanism. Thirdly, sense jointly develop market.
