The depletion of fossil fuels and environmental concerns have driven the development sustainable materials, including bio-based biodegradable plastics, as alternatives to conventional plastics. Although these plastics aid in waste management climate change mitigation, their vulnerability oxidative degradation impacts longevity, durability, performance. Natural antioxidants such tocopherols, flavonoids, tannins, extracted from plants or agri-food waste, present a alternative synthetic stabilizers by enhancing thermal stability polymers like poly(lactic acid) (PLA), poly(butylene succinate) (PBS), succinate-adipate) (PBSA), adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT), poly(hydroxyalkanoate) (PHA), starch-based materials. This review highlights recent advances stabilized with natural antioxidants, mechanisms action, role improving material properties for applications packaging. Additionally, it explores impact on recycling processes, advancements composite production techniques, future research directions. Bioplastics can achieve enhanced performance, reduce support circular economy incorporating antioxidants.

To address the food security of Ethiopia’s fast‐growing population, transforming agriculture to Agriculture 4.0 is paramount by integrating emerging technologies such as remote sensing, big data, and artificial intelligence. This review explores its components, benefits, challenges, opportunities in Ethiopia employing deductive reasoning through a literature review. The findings indicated that could optimize resources, reduce production costs, provide real‐time information, allow farmers draw well‐informed judgments. It contribute sustainability increasing yield, productivity, quality, reducing waste, enhancing product traceability. also develops agri‐tech companies create jobs, need for tech‐driven professions allowing smallholder compete larger markets. Despite advantages, Ethiopia, availability scattered small landholdings, limited farmers’ budgets, poor infrastructure, dependence on importation technologies, increased tenure insecurity, skill shortage, lack training can discourage implementation 4.0. However, 2025 digital climate‐smart initiative, introduction 5G networks data centers, tax exemption agricultural machinery imports open chances adopting country. successfully implement it country, government concerned bodies should work establish microfinance subsidies farmers, increase market access literacy rate, encourage collaboration, invest rural infrastructure. The fall armyworm of maize, Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) (Lepidoptera; Noctuidae) is capable causing a 100% yield loss due to its unforeseen occurrence from the seedling cob formation stage. To manage this serious pest, maize growers are tending apply high dosage pesticides. This indiscriminate usage pesticides has resulted in an unacceptable amount insect resurgence harming production and consumption. In review, we prepared list practical pest management options, including host plant resistance, agronomical, cultural, biological, botanical, chemical, biotechnology approaches. It was found that cultivation tolerant genotypes, adjusting sowing windows, practicing specific intercultural cropping systems measures addition chemical non-chemical strategies showed encouraging results for sustainable armyworm, which could protect crop. review highlights novel successful options advocated various parts world. Recommendations documented paper would certainly pave way other concerned crops.
