Organic
farming

available.
When

cannot
be
sourced,
farmers
may
seek
an
exemption
permitting
non-organic
seeds.
This
study
examines
data
from
German
national
seed
database
to
assess
trends
in
crop
varieties
originating
both
and
conventional
production.
Findings
reveal
that
diversity
cultivars
is
expanding
across
15
17
analyzed
crops.
Correlation
analysis
suggests
as
availability
cereal
rises,
recorded
database,
demand
for
derogations
decreases,
vice
versa.

adapting

CONTEXT:
Landrace
cereal
cultivation

become
more
popular,
since
farmers
experience

it

low-input
management
methods,

organic
production
and

marginal
lands.

is
known
about
landraces
