The European Union (EU) is moving towards sustainable development, and a key role played by circular economy (CE) models geared reducing pressure on natural resources, generating jobs fostering economic opportunities. Indicators are able to aggregate variety of information their use, through the use multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), allows performance alternatives be monitored. This work aims calculate EU27 in years 2019 2020 according 15 CE indicators available Eurostat. results Analytic Hierarchy process show that greatest impact circularity determined category ‘competitiveness innovation’, which together with ‘global sustainability resilience’ accounts for two thirds overall weight. MCDA Belgium prevails both baseline alternative scenarios, ahead Italy Netherlands respectively. The ecological transition in the transport sector is a major challenge to tackle environmental pollution, and European legislation will mandate zero-emission new cars from 2035. To reduce impact of petrol diesel vehicles, much emphasis being placed on potential use synthetic fuels, including electrofuels (e-fuels). This research aims examine levelised cost (LCO) analysis e-fuel production where energy source renewable. used process expected come photovoltaic plant other steps required produce e-fuel: direct air capture, electrolysis Fischer-Tropsch process. results showed that LCOe-fuel baseline scenario around 3.1 €/l, this value mainly influenced by component followed hydrogen one. Abstract Sustainable development serves as a guiding principle for societies aiming to progress beyond purely economic measures of well‐being. This paper constructs composite indicator based on the framework equitable and sustainable Well‐being (BES), integrating 105 indicators Italian regions over period 2018–2022. The results show that provinces Bolzano Trento led ranking. Regionally, those in north scored highest 2022 (0.603), followed by central region (0.556) south (0.404).
