The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in late 2019 led to a global crisis unprecedented scale and complexity that disrupted almost every aspect human life. has taken people, institutions governments by surprise, so impact virus been profound far-reaching. rapid relentless spread challenged health systems, strained economies, altered daily routines educational settings at work, tested resilience communities worldwide. Different studies have identified vulnerabilities world’s ability respond emergencies individual societal levels. This study presents systematic literature review theoretical analysis disruptions caused help formulate strategies encourage flexibility face such complex interconnected disruptions. article analyzes consequences through prism two main theories: theory situational communications (type crisis, its history, responsibility, perceived seriousness, predictable probability, strategies, post-crisis reputation), as well social learning (learning observation, modeling imitation, positive negative reinforcement formation behavior). In addition, nature society’s adaptation challenges is also considered subversive innovations (progress communication technologies, new methods remote work education, entry networks into business world, introduction asynchronous communication). summarizes scientific progress on following workplace, healthcare system, education. provides recommendations steps individuals, can take increase readiness adapt next (interdisciplinary cooperation, system analysis). conducted made it possible outline most promising directions for further qualitative intervention (in-depth case taking account specific context regions, organizations or identify effective ineffective policies practices; interviews with key stakeholders understand intricacies decision-making crisis); action (building community resilience, collaborative research efforts involving policymakers, experts representatives develop response jointly) quantitative (analysis spread, vaccination disease control, economic effects pandemic, etc.).

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the way sustainable built environment—encompassing buildings, infrastructure, and other physical structures—is designed, managed, utilized, as societal responses to may have contributed shifts in priorities practices these areas. Research predominantly focused on pandemic’s impacts enhancing resilience of environment its role supporting health protocols, such reducing transmission risks. However, a critical gap persists understanding evolving relationship between various stages environment. Accordingly, this systematic literature review (SLR) aims explore major themes trends identify gaps existing studies. authors employed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method systematically search four databases English-language journal articles published 2020 2023. A total 331 were analyzed using descriptive thematic methods. findings reveal that research shifted during different pandemic, with particular attention given key areas environment: healthy outdoor spaces, urban green spaces (UGS); energy efficiency planning; mobility transportation. This SLR contributes advancing risk reduction strategies address intricate interdependencies emergencies long-term sustainability imperatives

Abstract Recent socioeconomic and technological developments with significant impacts on work organization labor relations, along changes in the work/life relationship, have driven emergence rapid growth of new working spaces (NeWSps). Starting a review multidisciplinary literature, we seek to identify understand various categories related concepts arising from non-traditional workspaces their evolution. Concepts such as “third place” an alternative home (“first place”) workplaces production (“second refer environments that facilitate informal social relations provide sense community. Alongside third places for work, discussions about hybrid are spatial concept combines two or more predefined NeWSps typologies, either each other inherently tourism hospitality infrastructure. The typologies presented serve analytical tools improve understanding this growing phenomenon, foster its diversity integration, contribute future research implications.

A typical open-plan office layout is unable to optimally host multiple collocated work activities, personal needs, and situational events, as its space exerts a range of environmental demands on workers in terms maintaining their acoustic, visual or privacy comfort. As we hypothesise that these could be coped by optimising the resources architectural layout, deployed mobile robotic partition autonomously manoeuvres between predetermined locations. During five-weeks in-the-wild study within real-world office, studied how 13 adopted four distinct adaptation strategies when sharing spatiotemporal control partition. Based logged self-reported reasoning, present six initiation regulating factors determine appropriateness each strategy. This thus contributes future human-building interaction improve experience, comfort, performance, even health wellbeing share same workplace.

Purpose This paper aims to investigate the economic sustainability of new work environments by exploring how interior design strategies can contribute Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)’s Sustainable Goal (SDG) 8, which focuses on decent growth. SDG 8 foster sustained, inclusive sustainable development, as well full productive employment. Design/methodology/approach The pilot study was conducted at a global automobile brand’s largest facility in Kocaeli/Turkey, where 102 employees participated stakeholder meetings divided into 18 groups. However, people also feel that working remotely creates feeling of isolation and boredom reduces satisfaction. The will increase autonomy, work-life balance, aimed at employees in Jakarta surrounding areas who hybrid. population difficult calculate, so sampling purposive, technique convenience Hypothesis testing was done using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). results prove applying significantly satisfaction by fully mediating task characteristic balance variables. Therefore, Hybrid an option because, next decade, world increasingly be dominated Gen Y Z.
