The accumulation of heavy metals in the environment is one most significant environmental problems due to potential risk human and animal health. aim this study was analyze influence distance from industrial zone on metal content soil vegetative parts wheat. A field experiment with four wheat genotypes conducted area city Pancevo, Serbia, at three locations different distances zone. By atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS), concentrations five (Zn, Pb, Cr, Cu, Cd) were determined highest total Zn, Cd (72.5, 27.3, 26.2, 0.3 mg kg−1, respectively) found location closest zone, while Pb (28.9 kg−1) recorded a that immediate vicinity road. Heatmap correlations PCA analysis show relationship between plant. Genotype Pobeda had lowest root all analyzed stem. translocation factor genotype Apache, which Cu bioaccumulation established for (0.86 1.93). obtained results indicate ecological difference studied opens new aspects breeding programs.

Soil contamination, including in rice fields, arises from a variety of natural processes and anthropogenic activities, leading to an accumulation heavy metals. While extensive research has addressed the bioaccumulation metals rice, only limited systematic reviews have examined their specific impact on morpho-physiological traits plants. This review aims provide comprehensive synthesis current studies detailing cultivars, types investigated, study designs, sampling locations, experimental sites while systematically analyzing morphological physiological responses cultivars metal stress. Studies show that generally exhibit decline under exposure. Physiologically, tend decreased total chlorophyll carotenoid levels, along with increased levels malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), ascorbate (APX), proline. These findings suggest plant genotype, type metal, intensity stress significantly modulate highlighting critical areas for further tolerance cultivars.

The potential toxicity of heavy metals in cosmetics is becoming a serious threat to human beings day by day. Apart from its economic and beneficial uses, issues are parallel many aspects. Though the increasing production associated with global needs, health cannot be ignored. Necessary steps required control unnecessary concentrations including lead, cadmium, copper, cobalt, chromium, nickel, zinc, arsenic, manganese, mercury branded non-branded (spurious) cosmetic products. Some deliberately added as ingredients products, while others found impurities raw materials. concentration these adulterated products higher than prescribed limit set WHO, United States Food Drug Administration (USFDA), hence their high dosage major concern compromised. Considering it important regularly examine ensure that they safe for use. Herein, amount various samples available markets different countries have been reviewed systematically. Further, this study, data on were extracted studies carried out at intervals 2000–2023. Overall findings indicate total detrimental consumers. Therefore, quality measures must imposed metal according regulatory limits.

This pioneering study utilizes Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (FAAS) and Picosecond Laser-Induced Breakdown (Ps-LIBS) to quantify heavy metal contents in samples of Lactuca sativa L. Trifolium alexandrinum collected from Banha Giza, Egypt for the first time. In order enhance performance Ps-LIBS, laser parameters were carefully optimized. Expressly, energy was set 100 ± 5% J/cm², pulse duration calibrated 170 picoseconds, 1064 nm Nd: YAG pulses employed. optimization facilitated creation linear LIBS calibration curves, a crucial element ensuring precise elemental quantification bolstering overall analytical reliability. The assessment pollution indices revealed concerningly high levels copper, nickel, cadmium consistently across all sites. also demonstrated multiple metals’ bioaccumulation factors (>1), further underscoring potential health risks associated with contents. Given these findings, it is imperative recommend constructing dedicated wastewater treatment facility address Al Mansouria village’s environmental challenges Giza governorate.
