Currently, the research on corporate digital transformation is mainly explored from perspective of independent decision-making, but pays less attention to interactive impact among peer firms. Taking listed equipment manufacturing enterprises in China as its sample, this paper uses theoretical analysis and empirical tests test effect moderating top management team (TMT) characteristics. The results show that there are industry effects regional which TMT characteristics play a effect. Furthermore, higher proportion females, younger average age, education, longer tenure TMT, more significant positive transformation. above conclusions remain valid when using change variables, Tobit tests, lag period IV methods for robustness tests. Further shows non-linear between green technological innovation, multiple mediating effects, transformation, R&D, innovation. As the world’s largest emitter of carbon, China has implemented a series environmental regulatory policies to reduce emissions. However, most these regulations have been at expense increased corporate costs. Therefore, research on how efficiently control costs is significant practical importance. This paper uses China’s carbon trading policy (CTP) in 2013 as quasi-natural experiment, utilizing data from Chinese listed manufacturing firms between 2008 and 2020. Employing difference-in-differences (DID) model, study investigates impact market-incentive (ERP) The findings reveal that CTP significantly reduced firms, confirming positive vital role ERP can play protection cost control. These conclusions remain robust after stability tests. Mechanism analysis suggests reductions brought by are primarily achieved through increasing green innovation. Heterogeneity shows non-state-owned enterprises (non-SOEs), key polluting with lower financial constraints, total production efficiency benefit more policies. provides new empirical evidence for government policy-making aimed achieving long-term sustainable development.
