This study investigates whether village funds, village-owned enterprises (henceforth, BUMDes), and original income in Indonesia (PADes) enhance rural development. We employ three empirical methodologies to analyze data collected from 361 districts across Indonesia. These methods encompass cross-section regression, Difference-in-Difference (DID) technique, Structural Equation Model (SEM)-based mediation analysis. The findings show that funds positively significantly impact development (measured using the index). However, of BUMDes on shows weak evidence. quasi-experiment also reveals with higher funding for their villages do not experience greater improvements index between 2016 2020. Furthermore, our indicates PADes play a crucial role determining development, either directly or as mediator BUMDes. Policymakers should monitor allocation evaluate future policies. Additionally, performance is important fund transfers progress.

Rural tourism is a powerful way to revitalize the countryside, and its spatial pattern crucial for sustainable development. This paper analyzes distribution of rural characteristic villages in Henan Province by taking 723 as research object using nearest neighbor index, kernel density analysis, autocorrelation. It investigates influencing factors utilizing optimal parameters-based geographical detector (OPGD) model. The results show that, firstly, overall characterized aggregation unbalanced distribution, demonstrates characteristics "four cores one belt". Secondly, can be divided into four primary categories, agricultural industry, culture, featured towns. distributions main categories are all clustered. Thirdly, affecting differences topographic features, economic development level, market potential, traffic capacity, relevant policies, among which critical factor number A-class scenic spots potential.
