The study utilizes a GIS-Based Multi-Criteria Analysis to evaluate the viability of solar, wind, and biomass energy in Iraq, focusing on enhancing nation's independence meeting international climate objectives. Detailed spatial analysis revealed specific zones suited for efficient installation power plants. Zones with an surplus factor less than 0.2 are deemed not viable development, whereas regions factors 0.4 ideal harnessing resources. Furthermore, greater 0.6 highly recommended projects. Notably, results show that strategic development these can cater between 45% 68% country total demand, potentially reducing CO2 footprint by 0.5. Moreover, increase construction threshold, reduction potential has shown decrease 1.29E+08 tones, particularly evident areas rigorous standards. A plateau figures is observed once threshold surpasses 3.5, stabilizing 2.5E+07 tones. As exceeds 5, further stabilization noted, consistently around 2.17E+07 persisting even when approaches 8. outcomes underscores critical role zoning maximizing renewable potential, highlighting pathways achieve self-sufficiency make significant strides goals.
