As a growing abiotic stress, light deficient conditions seriously affect the yield and quality of rice. However, few studies focus on effects shading grain at booting stage responses different hybrid rice cultivars to shading. Field experiments involving four representative (Oryza sativa L.) across no (CK) 40% (S) filling stages (SS) were conducted in 2021 2022. Compared with CK, S reduced by 53.0% but increased head rate 11.4% averaged varieties years. The chalkiness degree (CD) chalky percentage (CR) 73.0% 61.6% due its 45.3% lower total spikelets m–2, 44.0% grain–leaf ratio 23.5% dry weight spikelet production efficiency, compared CK. CD CR SS 49.5% 41.0% higher HR was 7.1% than that Shading significantly amylose content, peak viscosity breakdown value, protein content setback greater S. Y-liangyou900 Liangyoupeijiu showed better milling quality, while Chuanyou6203 obtained appearance eating other under both SS. In conclusion, improved milling, nutritional did not reduce cooking led significant decline Moreover, exhibited treatments. Therefore, more attention needs be focused screening shade-tolerant using cope climate change future.

High application rates of dairy effluent and manure are often associated with nitrogen (N) leaching, which can affect groundwater quality. Here, we used a lysimeter to examine N leaching losses biomass yield following under wheat-maize cropping. The field experiment included seven treatments: no fertilizer (Control); 200/300 kg ha
