This work provides an overview of the use Virtual Reality (VR) technology in context training through documentation a project produced by Ohio University’s Game Research and Immersive Design (GRID) Lab involving development cine-VR series for police officer areas such as suicide prevention, mental health, crisis intervention, domestic violence resolution, school prevention. The article starts introducing concept VR with its subdivisions benefits, including promotion learning empathy immersion. Followingly, it describes process planning training. Subsequently, breaks down several stages creating content from scenario exploration, scriptwriting, recording, to postproduction. In conclusion, this paper recognizes challenges compelling storytelling, editing, resources. Additionally, attempts pave way similar projects providing recommendations emphasizing importance communication, adaptability, experimentation.

Cyborg Children: A Systematic Literature Review on the Experience of Children Using Extended Reality DOI Creative Commons

This literature review presents a comprehensive and systematic account of research on the experiences children with extended reality (XR), including VR, AR, other types immersive technologies that enhance augment children’s activities. The search Scopus Web Science produced 531 outputs. Content analysis inter-rater reliability (Krippendorff’s α) Leximancer, software for text mining, were used analyzing material. Four strands identified: (1) interventions, treatments, medical procedures in clinical contexts; (2) teaching learning enhanced by XR; (3) adoption user experiences; (4) design prototyping XR hardware children. results showed following findings: (a) studies interventions treatments using HMD-supported virtual comprise most substantial strand studies; (b) this area, studies, has grown dramatically since 2017, while areas have been stagnant over years; (c) AR is still limited mainly applied educational contexts prototyping; (d) few considered perspectives safety issues; (e) use enhancing social emotional skills development underrepresented. Future should focus potential to psychosocial wellbeing health more broadly. further implications study limitations fast-developing nature transdisciplinary field are also discussed.

Partiendo de autores clásicos y trabajos empíricos, este artículo propone una discusión sobre los interrogantes que, por sus características específicas, plantea la realidad virtual en comprensión imágenes como objetos simbólicos infancia temprana. Los son entidades que desde tiempos inmemoriales han sido creadas con intención representar algo diferente a ellas mismas, lo se considera tienen naturaleza doble. Existen numerosos estudios respecto diversos simbólicos, maquetas, dibujos mapas; también, más recientemente, plasmadas tecnologías digitales táctiles tablets o smartphones. Sin embargo, plantean las inmersivas, representaciones realidad, aún no abordados. Este trabajo fundamentalmente discute pregunta simbólica niñez temprana y, su posible utilización el campo educativo.
