Abstract The COVID‐19 pandemic had a significant impact on both classroom instruction and practical learning within Social Work Departments in Bangladesh. This research took two state universities Bangladesh as case studies, using qualitative methodology. Researchers conducted 10 Key Informant Interviews, with professors field supervisors, 20 in‐depth interviews Master of Sciences (MSS) students Focus Group Discussions MSS students. During the pandemic, University faculty experimented virtual classrooms, pre‐recorded lectures, online chat forums to interact postgraduate However, these approaches were not completely successful due limitations digital infrastructure at Universities students' residences. Shortcomings education included technological barriers, insufficient access educational resources, an unusual mental health situation for many Student practica difficult organize, restricted placement opportunities, disruption client interaction, community outreach, interruptions fieldwork data collection, well supervision support. ought take proactive measures integrate technology into teaching normal times so that can continue during public emergencies without adding crisis general emergency.

Web 2.0 tools such as blogs, wikis, social networking, and podcasting have received attention in educational research over the last decade. Blogs enable students to reflect their learning experiences, disseminate ideas, participate analytical thinking. The Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework has been widely used understand enhance online blended platforms. There is insufficient evidence demonstrate impact blogging using CoI model a framework. This article explores how blogs can be support collaborative an interaction upholds through enhancing critical thinking meaningful context higher education (HE). An exploratory sequential mixed-method approach followed this study. A convenience sampling method was employed choose 75 undergraduate from Dhaka University for 24-week project. Every publication on blog segmented into units. Whole texts posts comments are extracted blog, transcripts analyzed qualitative manner considering framework, more specifically, lens cognitive, social, teaching presence. In addition, semi-structured questionnaire collect data irrespective whether expedited students' or not. findings indicate that cognitive presence, namely, exploration component, dominant blog-based activity. Moreover, demonstrated build reliable virtual connections among exchanging ideas information by offering opportunities reflective practice asynchronous feedback. study also revealed challenges related developing countries, including lack familiarity with restricted internet connectivity, limited access devices, low levels interaction. It recommended different stakeholders policymakers, curriculum developers, teachers take initiative synchronize utilization formal curriculum, guaranteeing activities supplement improve traditional teaching–learning activities.
