The proliferation of electronic goods manufacturing and the subsequent rise in waste (e-waste) generation necessitate establishment efficient Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment (WEEE) reverse logistics systems, fostering collaborative efforts among manufacturers, retailers, government agencies. Given its importance, this theme has received considerable attention recent literature. This study focused on investigating relationships between socio-spatial characteristics distribution WEEE collection points city São Paulo, Brazil. To end, data mining (DM) techniques were applied to generate rules representing knowledge that explains relationship considered variables. results achieved (accuracy 81.25% Kappa statistic 74.71%), indicating consistent patterns, demonstrate potential proposed approach aid chain management. Plastics follow a linear economic structure, leading to detrimental environmental effects, such as global warming and ecosystem destruction, through incineration accumulation throughout their life cycle. This study examined the types, potential generation amounts, properties of recycled plastics from waste electrical electronic equipment (WEEE) assess feasibility closed-loop recycling WEEE under South Korea’s EPR system. Actual data companies were used determine factors, processing volume WEEE. As 2021, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (53,363 tons), polypropylene (14,320 polystyrene (8199 tons) produced by both large small The meet specifications new products. In addition, an analysis using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology showed that effect (avoided emissions) reached 262,033 tons CO2 eq. per year. Therefore, is most suitable effective method for reducing greenhouse gases. paper presents amount generated within regulatory framework, providing valuable foundational policy development promoting use plastics.

The paper presents a technological approach for obtaining sintered components with tailored electromagnetic features from electromagnetically active powders through the selective recycling of electronic waste, in particular scrap components. Printed circuit board (PCB) scraps were submitted to succession grinding processes, followed by progressive magnetic and electrostatic separation, resulting two final fractions: metallic particles non-metallic including different oxides. Three types analyzed, i.e., powder after fine grinding, separation which further processed within spark plasma sintering furnace order obtain solid disk samples. All samples contained several classes oxides, also residual metals, leading specific thermal decomposition processes at temperatures, depending on nature oxides present studied materials. chemical analysis powders, via spectrometry X-ray fluorescence—XRF, emphasized presence mixture metal traces metals (mainly Ag), concentrations diminishing along purification process. most important was related dielectric parameters, it concluded that obtained proposed technology could efficiently substitute scarce raw materials actually used as additives composites, coatings paints, mainly due their high permittivity (above 6 all frequency domains) and, respectively, loss factor 0.2 cases, domains). According to official statistics, waste (WEEE) in Ukraine is ∼20 t/year. study has showed a significant discrepancy between expected WEEE statistics. More 95% not taken into account flows. Taking lifespan various placed previous years, generation estimated at more 1 Mt/year. The share household 200 t/year (5 kg/year per inhabitant), which slightly lower that other eastern European countries. Computers electronics hold almost half WEEE. collection rate varies from 0.6% (household devices) 10.4% (batteries), depending category. much EU. Based findings this paper, one can conclude lack accounting commercial sectors creates underestimation flows data.
