In the current move towards a decarbonising energy generation, cities and residential users can play significant role. Solar photovoltaic has emerged as one of main clean sources in this transition. Therefore, work investigates large electricity generation capacity for collective self-consumption blocks flats densely populated city southern Spain. Three neighbourhoods were studied according to their income levels (low, medium, high), by modelling different demand profiles. The cover factor exchanged with grid calculated. Subsequently, seven regulatory frameworks surplus injection compiled analysed each level, focusing on economic profitability these renewable installations power ratings (270 570 W) domestic tariffs. Although some regulations provide more benefits, constant growth nominal modules rising prices, is practically guaranteed regardless framework. subsidies should target low-income buildings, where could be solution poverty problems.
