Abstract
Background
In
recent
years,
the
use
of
virtual
reality
(VR)
environments
for
education
has
gained
interest
in
research
and
education.

is
known
about
potential
social
VR
collaborative
learning.
Objectives
This
study
explores
pre‐service
teachers'
(PSTs')
learning
role‐based
drama
activity,
focusing
on
their
self‐created
fictional
avatar
characters
experiences
presence
while
working
a
group‐based
activity.
Methods
PSTs'
course
environmental
storytelling
was
used
as
context
study,
which
they
worked
small
groups

(AltspaceVR)

desktop
computers

COVID‐19
restrictions.
