Background: Disaster management is an ongoing international concern, and nurses play essential roles in minimizing negative impacts on the health of communities.However, many have limited knowledge skills how to respond disasters effectively.Therefore, this study was conducted determine effectiveness a newly developed educational program improving nurses' disaster preparedness.Methods Design: A quasi-experimental 88 working at public hospital.The included six modules covering various aspects management.Pre-and post-tests were administered evaluate changes perceptions competencies.Independent sample t-test, Pearson coefficient correlation, One-way ANOVA tests all run using SPSS.Results: significant proportion (78.4%) reported training management, while smaller percentage (21.6%)expressed contrary opinion.Nurses also had moderate level agreement with preparedness (Pretest: 2.26 ± 0.34; post-test: 2.29 0.31).Further, results showed small improvements nursing operational plan after M=2.76, SD=0.63;Post-test: M=2.89, SD=0.44), although differences between pre-and-post assessments not (P > 0.05).The mean values for overall familiarity pre-test 3.16 1.39, posttest, they slightly increased 3.26 1.18.The findings no statistically attitudes towards based gender, marital status, nationality, shifts, hours variables 0.05).
