Purpose This study aims to investigate the influence of theory planned behavior (TPB), innovation and sustainability, through environmental awareness, in formation entrepreneurial intention (EI). Design/methodology/approach Based on alignment between theoretical axes, such as behavior, adaptation–innovation axis quantitative research was developed with students from Brazilian Spanish universities. We obtained a sample 686 university enrolled courses related management both countries. Data analysis included exploratory factor logistic regression. Findings Our results revealed that constructs TPB (personal attitudes perceived behavioral control) influenced EI, excluding subjective norms. Innovation had an EI In Brazilians, valuing change predicts highlighting importance flexibility. Conversely, Spaniards emphasize originality, uniqueness creativity drivers EI. Sustainability, via did not Originality/value With this study, we aim encourage policies practices aimed at higher education institutions globally, broaden understanding about environmental, innovative social studies aligned context entrepreneurship. The final is enhance benefits generated by future entrepreneurs.
