This chapter examines the ever-changing field of surveillance systems, covering everything from their core technology to upcoming advancements. Surveillance, which was formerly dependent on basic recording equipment, has changed as a result innovations like artificial intelligence (AI), Internet Things (IoT), and closed-circuit television (CCTV). While these technologies improve real-time data processing prediction capacities, they also present difficult privacy ethical issues. The fundamental contemporary surveillance, such cloud computing for scalable storage, IoT integrated monitoring, AI behavior analysis. In addition, it looks at moral legal issues including protecting striking balance between security civil freedoms. Future developments in technology, augmented reality quantum computing, have great potential progress.
