The integrated management of medical waste (MD) is a crucial challenge for public health and the environment, aggravated in recent times by population growth emergence pandemics. In this context, implementation innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents itself promising solution. These technological tools can facilitate identification, classification tracking DMs, thus optimizing their collection, treatment final disposal an efficient sustainable manner. For purpose, it was established to analyze scientific production related applicability Intelligence. Scopus database used during period 2017 - 2024 based on PRISMA 2020 methodology. behavior studies presented 9 nodes representing 116 publications. co-occurrence keywords, five clusters 56 selected keywords were found, which corroborates importance study. However, application emerging combination with comprehensive approaches significantly contribute improve DM management, from adaptive, resilient, inclusive approach.
