The growing global demand for electricity is one of the crucial factors contributing to increase in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Power transformers, although essential components transmission and distribution systems, significantly impact environment. This paper employs a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) evaluate carbon footprint two oil-immersed transformers with capacity 31.5 MVA 25 MVA, manufactured Poland 2023, an assumed lifetime 40 years. analysis follows cradle-to-use approach considers various scenarios, including differences average operating load levels, generation from different sources, time frame spanning 2024–2063. After 2–3 years transformer operation, even at low loads, CO2 equivalent (CO2-eq) emissions associated energy losses exceed those generated during production. These results underscore critical importance utilizing advanced construction materials design solutions. Moreover, this highlights need implement systemic actions aimed restructuring generation, especially regions that heavily dependent on fossil fuels.
