The chemical industry plays a pivotal role in the health of world’s economies despite facing significant criticism for its contribution to environmental degradation, particularly pollution management and sustainable development. This paper investigates key factors motivating executives companies engage corporate social responsibility (CSR), including regulatory pressure, profit maximization, stakeholder demands, concerns. Data were collected through cross-sectional survey over 400 worldwide, structural equation modelling (SEM) was employed test four hypotheses examining relationships among various variables. findings indicate that pressure positively influences CSR adoption, although profit-maximization orientation negatively moderates this relationship. suggests with an excessive focus on profits are less likely meaningful activities beyond mere compliance. Additionally, unmet needs drive commitment, highlighting managers responsive expectations consumers, society, investors. In turn, commitment strongly correlates implementing pollution-prevention mechanisms, emphasizing intrinsic motivations promoting authentic practices. research expands prior studies high-impact industries by proposing more integrated theoretical framework, drawing from Institutional Theory, Stakeholder Theory Planned Behavior. Practical implications underscore value incentives encourage firms make substantial commitments without jeopardizing profitability. Limitations study include design, which calls longitudinal understand causation better. Future could also explore additional produce applicable across sectors.

This study aims to examine the socio-economic determinants of human negligence in wildfire occurrences across Pakistan’s peri-urban and rural regions. Increasingly frequent severe wildfires, driven by climate change, conditions, negligence, have become a pressing issue. Rising global temperatures changing precipitation patterns created drier while unsafe activities—such as improper disposal flammable materials agricultural burning—further escalate risks. These issues are particularly pronounced Pakistan, where high poverty levels, limited resources, low education contribute dangerous behaviors. Weak governance poor policy enforcement further exacerbate problem. Data were collected using cross-sectional survey from 500 participants five Multiple regression analysis revealed that higher levels significantly increased whereas improved access resources reduced it. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) highlighted critical roles local governance, enforcement, community engagement mitigating wildfires. Correlation indicated an inverse relationship between risk awareness negligent behavior. Chi-square tests demonstrated strong connection wildfires migration patterns, underscoring instability caused these events. Finally, linear showed impact regional indicators, emphasizing need for integrated management strategies. offers valuable insights into factors driving Pakistan provides guidance developing targeted mitigation
