Environmental pollution and resource scarcity characterize the Yellow River Basin. Studying factors of high-quality development efficiency (HQDE) its spatial correlation in Basin is conducive to promoting maximization allocation In this study, Super-EBM Malmquist index were used measure HQDE explore influencing factors. The results show that: (1) higher cities upper reaches than middle lower reaches. Compared with degree technology utilization, growth mainly depends on technological progress. (2) urban decreases has been weakened annually. high-efficiency basin are obviously concentrated, while confluence have both high- low-efficiency located near each other. (3) a negative geographical spillover effect. Regression analysis shows that energy consumption, economic level, factor endowment, public awareness environmental protection, enterprise green level can promote HQDE, foreign investment pollution, education support impacts HQDE.

This study explores the “gap reduction effect” of new infrastructure on regional economic disparities, investigating both its impact and underlying mechanisms in narrowing these gaps. Focusing 41 prefecture-level cities within Yangtze River Delta, this paper constructs an evaluation index system for quantitatively measures development. The results reveal that while overall level region is relatively advanced, there are notable disparities between cities. benchmark analysis demonstrates a significant positive relationship development promotion coordinated growth. New fosters industrial spatial integration through three primary pathways: enhancing efficiency resource allocation regions, driving upgrades, facilitating diffusion technological innovations. These factors collectively contribute to balanced economies. Further investigation uncovers threshold effect, suggesting digitalization plays crucial role catalyzed by infrastructure.
