Analysis of publication intensity is an important tool for following research trends. Recent studies have recorded a decrease in the number Polish publications on topics “economy” and “energy”, while global trends showed increase publications. The present study undertakes review topic “education” (Sustainable Development Goal 4, SDG 4) based scientific Scopus database from 2017 to 2024. objective was examine whether discernible decline by researchers field education has indeed occurred since 2021. Eight hypotheses were proposed tested. methods used: graphical interpretation 1,116,101 search results sources, scientometric correlation analyses, analysis top 10 most cited this topic, both Poland globally. contribution testing evaluating hypotheses: first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth rejected; second seventh accepted. For first time, data obtained confirmed serious problem science: 2021, Poland’s position market been declining. popular branches world.
