Green development is key to promoting high-quality regional development. Chengdu Plain Economic Zone (CPEZ) stands as the primary area for Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle. This study constructed an evaluation system green level, selecting 33 indicators from three dimensions: environment, lifestyle, and economy. Through application of entropy-TOPSIS method, Pearson correlation analysis, geographic detector, level urban agglomeration 2013 2022 was evaluated, well coupling coordination relationship analyzed, driving mechanism affecting region explored. The results show that: (1) overall in research continues improve 2022, with average annual growth rate 5.11%. There spatial heterogeneity among cities.
