Inspired by C. Alexandru, to achieve a balance between tracking accuracy and equipment cost single-axis brackets dual-axis brackets, kind of quasi-biaxial solar tracker, whose approximate two-axis motions are driven single motor, is studied in this paper. Firstly, considering the changes total number sunny days declination angle certain period time, characteristic day tracker set. Then, based on variations Sun’s azimuth elevation day, mechanism designed. Its movement directly while same motor through bevel gear cam mechanism. The irradiance photovoltaic module analyzed using PVsyst software. Through 3D modeling-aided design, prototype built then relative experiments conducted study performance tracker. Simulation analysis physical model show that works achieves compromise cost.
