Zeolite and Inorganic Nitrogen Fertilization Effects on Performance, Lint Yield, and Fiber Quality of Cotton Cultivated in the Mediterranean Region

The
continuous
provision
of
nitrogen
(N)
to
the
crop
is
critical
for
optimal
cotton
production;
however,
constant
and
excessive
application
synthetic
fertilizers
causes
adverse
impacts
on
soil,
plants,
animals,
human
health.
current
study
focused
short-term
effects
(one-year
study)
adding
different
rates
clinoptilolite
zeolite,
as
part
an
integrated
nutrient
management
plan,
inorganic
N
fertilizer
improve
soil
performance
in
three
locations
(ATH,
MES,
KAR)
Greece.
Each
experiment
was
set
up
according
a
split-plot
design
with
replications,

positively
impacted
by
factors.
In
conclusion,
present
research
suggest
ha−1,
respectively,
improved
properties
(except
weight
diameter),
stimulated
development,
enhanced
grown
clay-loam
soils
Mediterranean
region.
