Perception is very important when analysing and managing risk as it vital for better preparing the individual society. The aims of this study are to: (i) find out about students' perceptions spatial dimension natural environmental risks affecting mainland Portugal; (ii) understand how students perceive risks, taking causal attribution, level knowledge, future trends into account; (iii) relate to behaviour, actions, willingness change attitudes mitigating reducing risks. In study, a questionnaire was administered 786 ninth year between April May 2022. Stepwise regression applied determine factors that control in behaviour. results indicate levels perception considered low moderate. Female tended develop greater sense fear face manifestations.

Abstract Background Advances in machine learning (ML) models have increased the capability of researchers to detect vaccine hesitancy social media using Natural Language Processing (NLP). A considerable volume research has identified persistence COVID-19 discourse shared on various platforms. Methods Our objective this study was conduct a systematic review employing sentiment analysis or stance detection towards vaccines and vaccination spread Twitter (officially known as X since 2023). Following registration PROSPERO international registry reviews, we searched papers published from 1 January 2020 31 December 2023 that used supervised assess through Twitter. We categorized studies according taxonomy five dimensions: tweet sample selection approach, self-reported type, classification typology, annotation codebook definitions, interpretation results. analyzed if report different trends than those by examining how is measured, whether efforts were made avoid measurement bias. Results found bias widely prevalent analyze toward vaccination. The reporting errors are sufficiently serious they hinder generalisability these understanding individual opinions communicate reluctance vaccinate against SARS-CoV-2. Conclusion Improving NLP methods crucial addressing knowledge gaps discourse.

Background Health risk perception is an important predictor of health-protective behaviors according to the health belief model. However, underlying mechanism connecting and exercise not well understood. The current study investigates how predicts college students' intention in post-pandemic era China analyzes mediating effect anxiety moderating lay theories health. Materials methods This cross-sectional adopted convenience sampling recruited 767 students from a province central China. Risk Perception Scale, Anxiety Lay Theories Chinese version Exercise Intention Scale were used measure levels perception, anxiety, implicit theory, intention, respectively. Results results moderated mediation model indicated that significantly positively affected (β = 0.110, t 2.852, p < 0.01). Meanwhile, indirect on relationship between was significant. Furthermore, buffered association analysis 0.068, 2.067, 0.05). For holding incremental influence statistically Conclusion can lead which affect their intention. Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation has become a pressing issue worldwide, deeply affecting individuals' mental and physical well-being. This study introduces theoretical model to understand factors influencing in context of this global health crisis. We employed survey methodology, collecting data from Korean Vietnamese university students through Google form. The was evaluated using structural equation modeling (SEM), multi-group analysis (MGA) used assess differences between student groups. investigation centered on affective risk perception, cognitive distancing attitude, intention, demographic like age gender. Our findings revealed that perceptions have significant positive impacts attitudes toward distancing. Furthermore, towards were found significantly influence intentions. Interestingly, intention correlation with isolation. Lastly, such as gender be Specifically, had association, while showed negative Moreover, our MGA results relationship differed groups, indicating potential cultural or societal influences relationship. Such understanding could inform policies strategies aimed at mitigating adverse effects wake crises.

Abstract The high‐level risk perception diffusion caused by public health emergencies seriously threatens mental and social stability. Much scholarly attention focused on the traditional epidemic models or simply combined content attributes, overlooking differences in individual characteristics. This paper proposes an S 1 2 EI pos I neu neg R model of innovatively subdividing susceptible people infectious people. Then, taking Xi'an as example ( N = 105,417), this employs sentiment analysis Word2Vec Bi‐LSTM to calculate emotional value microblog text quantify perception. Finally, numerical experiments are conducted explore effects cross‐evolution difference under different scenarios. Findings reveal that a larger initial density accelerates diffusion, with negative emotions playing dominant role. In addition, higher level lower heterogeneity, greater maximum impact final scale diffusion. When emergency deteriorates, tends shift high‐risk Otherwise, it tilt low‐risk These findings provide critical insights for developing precise guidance strategies enhancing governance capabilities.
