Abstract In the present study, Alphinia officinarum rhizome extract and zinc nitrate hexahydrate were utilized to synthesize eco-friendly cost-effective oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs). Nanoparticles of Zinc have attained unique research interest among various metal oxides. Morphological characterizations ZnO NPs analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM) used characterize NPs. FTIR spectrum revealed presence functional groups in XRD, microscope, analyses confirmed crystal structure average size The antimicrobial activities tested on microorganisms, that is, P. aeruginosa ATCC 25619, MRSA 43300, C. albicans 10231. Moreover, antibiofilm activity was performed against shown effective microorganisms. results elucidated cost-effectively produced could be as coating materials a wide range industrial applications, such pharmaceutical industries cosmetics.
