Ustiloxins are a kind of cyclopeptide mycotoxins produced by rice false smut pathogen Villosiclava virens, which seriously threatens the safe production and health humans animals. Hydroxylation, biotransformation reaction that regio- stereoselectively introduces hydroxyl group into molecule catalyzed hydroxylase organisms, has been considered an efficient way to detoxify mycotoxins. In this study, endophytic fungus Petriella setifera Nitaf10 was found be able ustiloxin A, main toxic component in V. virens. addition two transformed products previously identified, ustiloxins A1 A2, additional product obtained using cell-free extract (CFE) P. prepared with 5 mmol/L pH 9.0 carbonate-buffered solution (CBS). It structurally characterized as novel analog named 13-hydroxy A (1) analysis 1D 2D NMR HRESIMS spectra well comparison known ustiloxins. Biotransformation proceed via hydroxylation, possibly intracellular CFE. The cytotoxic phytotoxic activities were much weaker than those A. Detoxification hydroxylation will strategy.
