The literature provides evidence for positive significant effects on well-being; however, studies describing relationship drawing comparisons based specific dimensions are limited. Here we try fill gap by proposing two composite indicators, representing preferences behaviour in different dimensions. indicator "proactive behaviour" encompasses products with better environmental efficiency, while "avoidance pertains sustainable choices that involve avoiding - less frequently engaging decisions negative ecological externalities. findings, data Aspects Daily Life survey conducted Italy ISTAT, provide former has stronger effect compared latter. Furthermore, analysis reveals satisfaction negatively moderates life satisfaction.

Abstract The construction industry led by the real estate sector plays a significant role in environmental performance. Excavation, construction, and demolition waste are important generators Europe. Many of materials recyclable or reusable, however rates reuse recycling vary greatly across objective this preliminary research is to analyse excavation, conditions that have prevailed recent years throughout Europe, with focus on Greece Cyprus, considering scarce coverage specific subject matter. study outlines management principles trends, as well methods for prevention, reduction, reuse, recycling. Findings suggest a) an increase waste, connection growth, b) uncontrolled disposal common practice, which, however, severely pollutes environment, c) policymakers advocate circular economy integration strategies. current analysis argues answer efficient involves prevention policies development, long-term strategic planning all levels, treatment, establishments using vertically integrated operations.

Reflecting the shift from purely quantitative economic growth to broader socio-environmental sustainability, this study proposes a framework for assessing sustainable development (SD) by integrating Maslow’s hierarchy of needs with Bossel’s classification system. As increasingly emphasizes numerous organizations and agencies, including United Nations, have developed indicators measure progress. However, subjective dimensions SD, grounded in individual values needs, remain underexplored. This operationalizes “pyramid needs” alongside system establish an “SD pyramid”, distinguishing that capture social, economic, environmental complexity. By mapping human onto Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributes delineating (i) research areas uncovered (or partly covered) relevant indicators, (ii) significant lack or partial shortage pertinent information, (iii) combination few basic summarizing necessary information into unique SD. The outcomes offer foundation quali-quantitative assessment enhancing monitoring tools focusing on contextual needs.
