Background: Vaccine hesitancy is an important public health concern which leaves healthcare workers at a high risk of getting infected with COVID-19. The lack in acceptance COVID-19 vaccine sets the stage for increased morbidity and mortality among every age group globally. Therefore, effective strategy major role combating pandemic. Objectives: To determine prevalence Health Care Workers Imo state, Nigeria. Methodology: study was descriptive cross-sectional on its associated factors HCWs Federal Medical Centre, Owerri State University Teaching Hospital, Orlu. An electronic survey heart questionnaire used to collect data. Data analyzed using IBM Statistical Package Social Science v23 result presented frequencies proportions. Results: overall hesitant state 35.4%. majority participants are female (54.2%) single (53.6 %) first degree as highest level education (70.9%) A higher proportion Non-Vaccine compared reported that COVID 19 infection real, (96.9%, 81.3%); non-vaccine they do not trust information from internet/social media about vaccine, (80.5%, 64.7%); made them worry taking (65.0%, 58.5%); feel there isn’t enough safety, (54.5%, 42.9%); their consideration depend how safe it perceived, (84.4%, 80.5%); long has been tested, (74.6%, 69.6%); does cost, (78.9%, 71.9%). Conclusion: In this approximately 1 out 3 surveyed being hesitant. Having drawback success ongoing mass vaccination eradication.
