Nowadays, selection of superior male candidates in livestock as a source frozen semen based on sperm quality at the cellular level is not considered accurate enough for predicting potential fertility. Sperm transcriptome analysis approaches, such messenger RNA levels, have been shown to correlate with fertility rates. Using this technology growth has become principal method, which can be widely applied predict industry through transcriptome. It provides gene expression validate function spermatogenesis, fertilization, and embryo development, parameters This review proposes transcriptomic approach high-throughput method more accurately future.

Background and Aim: Fertility is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of livestock production, as it directly impacts reproductive rates. A comprehensive understanding relationship between sperm quality embryo development key to optimizing outcomes improving livestock. This study analyzed developmental competence in vitro embryos recovered from Bali cattle with normal or poor motility. Materials Methods: Nine bulls fresh semen (NFS) (PFS) motility were ejaculated semen. Semen ejaculates, including volume, motility, concentration, evaluated immediately after collection measure Frozen was using computer-assisted analysis (CASA) progressive distance curve path, linear, straight line, average path velocity, curvilinear linear straightness (STR), linearity forward progression (LIN), wobble, lateral head displacement (ALH). Bull groups used determine cleavage ability fertilization cattle. Ovaries collected by slicing, only cytoplasmic oocytes compact cumulus cells this study. The matured, performed media a final concentration 1.5 × 106 spermatozoa/mL. After 48 h, cultured evaluated. Results: There significant differences values NFS PFS groups; however, there no volume concentration. difference LIN value but other CASA parameters. rate morula groups, positive correlation observed ALH. negative STR STR; variables. Conclusion: Despite variations characteristics, both demonstrated comparable embryonic competence. These findings provide important insights into fertility potential bulls, providing valuable information that can enhance selection strategies improve production. Keywords: cattle, embryos, quality.

Analysis frozen-thawed quality, such as progressive total motility, kinematics, membrane integrity, mitochondrial potential, acrosome capacitation status, was carried out both groups. ProAKAP4 analyzed using Bull 4MID Kit ELISA technique. Each bull showed varying abundance (p < 0.05) another. Accurately predicting male fertility is crucial for the animal breeding industry due to its significant economic implications. Existing literature suggests that mammalian partially dependent on sperm DNA integrity. However, routine semen analysis often fails detect damage and does not consistently correlate with field outcomes. While assessing integrity provides valuable biological insights, role in diagnosing infertility remains uncertain. This meta-analysis evaluated association between fragmentation (SDF) farm animals. Comprehensive searches were conducted using PubMed, Google Scholar, Springer Link Library, results stratified by species SDF detection methods. Across 30 studies, overall correlation coefficient (COR) was -0.46 (95% confidence interval [CI]: -0.54 -0.37; Z = -8.97; p < 0.001). A observed bulls (COR -0.47; 95% CI: -0.40; -11.13; 0.001) stallions -0.54; -0.72 -0.29; -3.83; 0.001), whereas no relationship found boars -0.19; -0.37 0.01; -1.84; 0.07). This study aimed analyze potential HSP-70 molecules bovine as a marker freezability or cryo-tolerance, well association with semen fertility rate. Methods The classification bulls based on (good freezability/GF poor freezability/PF), obtained value post-thaw viability using SYBR-14/PI-flow cytometry. Semen assessed included motility kinetics (computer-assisted analyses), plasma membrane integrity (HOS test), acrosome (FITC-PNA), mitochondrial (JC-1), DNA (Halomax kit). bull rate assessment was analyzed first service conception each derived data artificial insemination contained Indonesian-integrated National Animal Health Information System (iSIKHNAS).
